On July 21-25, 2008 in Baku with  financial support USAID,  with joint organization of NARUC, ERRA and  Tariff (price) Council of Azerbaijan Republic  workshop devoted to "Regulation and Tariff" will start. 

The following subject   will be scoped  in the seminar.

Concepts, principles and process of regulation of energy;
İnstitutional and functional reasons for managements of regulation energy;
Bases of tariffs for the public utilities;
Determining requirement to the income and structurization of tariffs;
Distribution of tariffs between various categories of consumers;
Definition and optimization of system of tariff expenses;
Influence of tariff reforms on quality of public utilities;
Approaches to tariffs, construction and methodology;
Quality of services: standards, parameters of activity, maintenance of execution;
Successful experience in protection of the rights of consumers;
Private investments into energy sector;
Independent energy generators;
Agreements on purchase of energy;
Power pools and regional energy trade.

And expected participation of over than 30 representatives from different ministries, committee and organization.
